De Homburg hoed is bijna 100 jaar lang de hoed als je elegant én toch formeel voor de dag wil komen.

Het Homburg model is in de mode geraakt toen Koning Edward VII, na een bezoek aan Duitsland (Bad Homburg), de hoed mee nam naar het Verenigd Koningrijk en deze gebruikte als een minder formele hoed dan de toen der tijd standaard bolhoed. Typerend voor de Homburg is de enkelvoudige deuk in de kroon en de rechte omhoog staande randen. De Homburg wordt ook wel een 'Eden' of Diplomaten-hoed genoemd.

The Homburg hat was for almost 100 years 'the hat' if you wanted to make an elegant and formal impression. The Homburg model became fashionable when King Edward VII brought one back to the UK after a visit to Germany (Bad Homburg) and used it as a less formal hat than the top hat or the bowler. Typical for the Homburg is the single dent in the crown and the straight brim with turned up ends. This hat is also know as an 'Eden' or diplomat hat.
